Though we supply Hollow Fiber Membrane filters to individual households, we also use water drilling rigs to bore water holes in and throughout the rural areas to supply entire communities with clean water year round.  We will utilize both trailer units and mounted water drilling machines.  There is a lack of clean water in most rural villages in Liberia, water-borne and water-based diseases are the primary cause of preventable illness and premature deaths in these villages, with children being particularly vulnerable. This clean water boring contingent is deeply needed in the rural county of River Cess.   The metropolitan areas of Monrovia have benefited from bored wells and other government sponsored piped water lines to specified areas.  As a result, the inhabitants of these areas do not face the same water borne pollutants as the rural areas in River Cess.

Although the geographical climate of Liberia is a tropical rain forest with fresh water following right beneath its surface, the lack of proper technology does not equate to nature’s clean water sources benefiting the people.  Despite the aqueous climate, the native people groups in the rural areas are largely pained with drinking this water that is murky, cloudy and not fit for human consumption.  During the dry season, hundreds of collective hours are spent each month transporting unclean water, by hand, to the villages; this same time could be spent doing more productive activities, such as attending school or growing crops. In addition to the obvious health benefits, this project will bring a local clean water source allowing for a reallocation of time toward more productive activities, as well as allowing for cultivation of agricultural crops throughout the year through irrigation. This provides agricultural sustainability that can be used to increase the quality of life in the village, including education, medical care, and access to technology. LTI, Inc is answering the call to bring due attention and development in these areas of need, but it is not solely about clean water, it is community development, empowerment and sustainability

With this Water Drilling Rig, LTI, Inc can bore water holes across the rural areas of Liberia.  Though there are a few major companies in the area, they are concentrated in specific areas and the majority of their development initiatives largely benefit their work site alone.  Liberia Tridime International is committed to manifesting these initiatives; from the resources in the ground, to the benefit of the people.

The Global Effect Water Filter

We have been countless places where clean water is a problem.  When your water purifier runs out and you personally find yourself having to drink something that is called 'water', but looks like diluted chocolate milk, clean water becomes your personal mission.  Well, our manufacturers have made it as simple as it gets. With an aqueous climate like Liberia's, clean water is as close as a bucket and $50.  No well drilling, no constructing heavy sand filters, no depending on electricity, no need for purification chemicals and no need to boil water to make it safe ever again.

Families are able to set up this filter literally in minutes to any available plastic bucket or water barrel. This gravity-operated filter with its fast flow rate means anyone, anywhere in Liberia can have clean water in a matter of minutes. But not just drinking water, this filter produces over 150 gallons of clean water per day to serve all the needs of a family: cooking ,cleaning , bathing, etc. and still have enough to share with their neighbors.

The Filter is a point of use system and it is our desire for every family world wide who lacks access to safe clean drinking water to have one. With a high flow rate, it eliminates the need for lots of stored water which reduces the chances of water being contaminated after it’s filtered. The only force required for the system to operate is gravity.
The filter removes 99.99999% of all waterborne micro-organisms, bacteria, protozoa and cysts.
The filter kit includes everything needed to attach the filter to any plastic bucket, container or barrel.

The Filter Assembly Kit Includes:
1 – Water Filter Unit (Hollow Fiber Membrane technology)
1 – Bucket Connection Adapter with rubber washers
1 – Hose
1 – Hole Cutter
1 – Filter tip cap
1 – Filter Hanger
1 – Cleaning Syringes

Easy Setup and Use
The filter is very simple to set up and so easy, a caveman could do it! It literally installs in minutes. The kit includes

everything needed to attach the filter to any plastic bucket or container to begin filtering water immediately.

To install the system, simply:
Obtain a clean bucket or plastic container.
Use the hole cutter to drill a hole 1.5 inches from the bottom of the bucket (easily done by hand).
Screw the connector, hose and filter onto the bucket.
Use only one rubber gasket on the inside of the bucket. The other gasket provided is a spare.
Fill the bucket with water from any source, lower the filter head below the water line, and let gravity do the rest. Now

there is safe clean water for drinking, cooking, bathing and cleaning.

Maintenance
Maintenance of this filter is very easy and quick. When the filter starts to slow down or clog, simply backwash it with clean water using the syringe provided in the kit, it takes less than 2 minutes. Simply backwash (flush) 3-4 times or until the water flushing out is clear. We recommend cleaning this way at least once per week, depending on the water source being used.
If the water being filtered is extremely murky with solid and coarse deposits, we simply pre-filter the water by attaching a cloth or t-shirt to the top of the bucket.

Long Lasting
Since the filters can continuously be backwashed and re-used, they have an extremely long life expectancy.  In some cases of well maintained filters, they can experience 30+ years of life and over 1M (million gallons) of purification!

It's really THAT simple!
